This 10–15-minute presentation is perfect for introducing the resources that the IU Office of Financial Wellness and Education, MoneySmarts, and the Higher Education Financial Wellness Alliance can provide for all people affiliated with IU. This 60-minute presentation (with time for questions) helps students understand how they perceive finances prior to having to take control of their own. Students will examine their core beliefs about finances and think about how their beliefs impact their behaviors and decisions.

This 60-minute interactive budgeting presentation helps participants consider their personal budget, their needs, and wants, and the categories in which they spend. Participants will examine their current budgets and leave with a budgeting worksheet to try modifications in the future. Participants will examine various ways to budget their finances, and consider which methods work best for their situation.

This 60-minute presentation will help participants evaluate their understanding of credit, debt, and credit cards. Participants will consider their relationship with credit and debt, look at credit and credit scores, understand credit reports, and understand how to read a credit card statement.

This 60-minute presentation will help participants, especially graduating students, consider their financial prospects after they leave Indiana University. Students will look into budgeting, credit, retirement savings, salary negotiations and contracts, and paying off student loans. Students will also look into the intricacies of relocation, and costs of living that are different than those at their Indiana University campus.

This 60-minute presentation will help participants evaluate and understand the uses of different kinds of savings and investing accounts. Students will explore interest, inflation, general savings, risk and return, savings accounts, investment accounts, and the benefits of compound interest.
