Students eligible for Engage & Thrive must:
- Be a first-year undergraduate student at IU (excludes transfer students)
- Be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours
- Be at least 18 years old
- Possess a valid Social Security Number
How do I get started?
Step one: Get the Fidelity Mobile ® app
Download the Fidelity Mobile® app and open an account. Write down the last 4 digits of your account number (you’ll need it for the next step).
Step two: Opt-in to Engage & Thrive
Fill out the Registration Form.
If you qualify, you'll receive a confirmation email with next steps. Watch your IU email address.

Attend events, complete workshops, or take part in campus programs focused on financial literacy, academic support, career preparation, well-being, community and belonging, and more.
Earn
After completing verified activities, you’ll earn a financial reward deposited into your Fidelity account. The more you engage, the more you earn.
Thrive
Use your account to build healthy financial habits—use your funds, save them, or try investing.

All Engage & Thrive participants can find qualifying events and activities, view program deadlines, and track progress in the program Canvas site. Your campus event page may also feature events.
While campus-level events vary, all Engage & Thrive participants can complete university-designated activities, including financial awareness and education sessions, early academic advising, mental health and wellness support via TimelyCare, prevention education training, and more.
